Quote From the Daughter

We were shopping for some MUCH NEEDED clothes for my 13 year old female offspring.

She DOES NOT like to shop! And it is like pulling impacted, grown sideways into the gum, wisdom teeth to get her to the store.

As we were on our way she said...

and I quote...

"If Eve wouldn't have eaten that STINKIN' APPLE we wouldn't have to pick out clothes to wear EVERY SINGLE DAY!"

So... what are YOU going to wear today?

Brianna, How about this? Isaiah 61:10 says
"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels."
I wonder where HE shops? I am sure you one of your mom's jewels!

Brianna,
You are not the only one who has been a little upset with Eve!!
Some times I have felt the same way about Eve, Especially when I am having a hard day.
"Eve if you only would not have eaten that APPLE!!!! Things would be a whole lot easier on this earth." I can't blame Eve to much, I would have pobably eaten the whole tree as much as I lke fruit!!!
We just have to count our blessings and let the other stuff go.
Love you, Linda

I learned when my daughter was 12 that she was not a shopper. Taking her shopping typically ending in frustration on both our parts. However she has always LOVED when I bring her home something that works for her (clothes, shoes, books, whatever). And I realize that she costs me about 10% of what my friends share about their daughters. Now we do both LOVE going for coffee and a cookie together.

Oh, so funny! This sounds just like my daughter! She is slowly becoming a shopper and enjoys "shopping" in my closet and jewelry box now. I did see pics of your beautiful family on facebook! How time flies, thanks for "finding" me, its nice to connect with friends from "home".

My 13 year old LOVES to shop, my problem is what I think is cute she doesn't! Certainly if we adopted Eves wardrobe, our pocketbook wouldn't hurt as much, we could just go out in the yard and collect our wardrobe!! thanks for sharing today, - Blessings, Laurie

Good for you Brianna!!!There's so much more to do in life than shop for clothes...get a couple outfits, one for Sundays and the other for week days...You look great in anything..

Well...not too far from Sunny, we have a community that still doesn't bother with all that shopping. Or wearing clothes.

my family and I set out to find a new hiking trail over memorial day weekend. we went to an entirely new area, completely off the beaten track- and on the way there we saw a sign that said "clothing optional" LOL!!! It was WAY TOO cold and drizzly for us to see any unfortunate sights :o)That's what my adventurous self gets for wanting to explore new locations :)

My 12 year old hates to shop. I have a difficult time finding clothes for me (modest and for my shape) and poor thing is built just like me. It's really fun shopping with her. I feel your frustration!

I’m working my way through the Assembly of God Blog ring, and giving friendly reminders to those who need to update their code. (Your code is missing the Assembly of God black/white/gold banner and the gold join button.) Please go to my site and click on “Assembly of God Blogs” in the blue linkbar under my header. You’ll find the code you need there, and instructions on how to add the code, should you need them. (Please don’t use the code from RingSurf- it’s missing the banner and button.) Thanks!
~Sharon~
P.S. If you need any help, please don’t hesitate to ask!

LOL!
That may be true, but we are in Michigan, so most of the year we'd at least have to pick out a coat or blanket to keep ourselves warm. But that would probably be easier, wouldn't it. *wink*

I agree with Brianna! Forget pain in childbirth, the *real* curse: shopping! ;P
