Reason #1. Flu-phobic store owners & snooty
I-phone users refuse to let you use their phones to call your wife to rescue you.
2. When you finally 'PERSUADE'... (in a desperate, losing my patience, bordering on violence sort of way)... the non-germaphobe, non-iphone user to let you use their phone... bringing keys to stranded husband is a little difficult when you are ONE CAR family.
3. Good Neighbors are not always available... THANK THE LORD for Barry Black who... like a good neighbor... was there, came & got our extra keys & rescued stranded hubby who NOW really needs to use the facilities from all the coffee consumed during 'wait' because restroom was NOT available to contaminated public.
4. Make coffee at home... saves precious time and money.

That's great...way to go Steve..LOL
Great Blog, Mary Beth. Did you thank Steve for the writing material?
Overall lesson: You can learn from every situation. But I am glad I didn't have to learn that lesson!! (YET)
You guys crack me up! This was greatness!
Steve, it would be great to hear you preach again.
What pants was he wearing?
Ever think that's why people won't let him use their phone!
LOL!!!!!!!
That made my day. I can picture the whole scenario.
"I had a similar experience yesterday morning. The windows on the car were frosted so I jumped in, started it, turned on the defroster, popped the trunk and closed the drivers door. I then grabbed the scraper from the trunk, closed the trunk and started scraping the driver's side windows. As I got around to the passenger's side, the horn honked and the doors locked. I was shocked, my other Jetta didn't do that. After about 10 mins of trial and error, I did manage to get back into my place and snag the second set of car keys."
LOL... it sounds like it was quite and exciting morning!
Hilarious!!!!!!
Sarah
You've got some definite wisdom here!!!
"lol, sounds like something that would happen to me, I locked my keys in the car on Sunday, thankfully I have roadside assistanc, however they took two hours to get there and I was in a resturant in a not so nice part of town with my friends 13 y/o daughter, lesson learned make extra key and hide under bumper and cancel roadside assistance"
haha
I'm not laughing with you..I'm laughing at you..LOLOL
If it makes you feel any better, I once locked myself out of my house and had to walk 2 miles (we lived in the boonies and no one at home to let me use the phone or they hid from me) before someone I knew finally drove past me on the road and took me to my in law's house. It was 20 degrees, I had no coat, no purse, keys, nothing.
So you know how we just moved right ? We went to the downtown area to shoot video to send back to Michigan as an update video. We as in hubby and 3 children under the age of 6 got out walked all around town... we get to the end and get back to the car and hubby says where's your purse ? I said uh in the car... i told him i was going to put it in there... sigh... he threw the keys in there :(45 minutes $12 in ice cream and $35 for locks smith we have a new happy video and happy children :)
